Down here up there

View.

Smiles

I bring smiles every day
all out today
do you want me to go?
would you like me to stay?
my smiles keep me
keeps everyone content
smiles needed today
I look up twice to the sky
the sunlight crowns you
streaming it’s way through
a vision, you’re an angel
no, yes it is you
I feel the smiles returning
surprised it can still happen
just met you, yes it’s true
I never thought I would write
again
in a romantic way
thought it was all gone
set sail and drifted away
tonight
steady
I shall rock you to sleep
with the soothing voice
you love so much

Naked kiss

In some ways, the fruit for the wild in Toronto is much different than the fruit for the wild in Trinidad.

Postcard

There won't be many new posts over the next few weeks, as I am in the process of moving from the Island of Trinidad back to Toronto which is where I have spent most of my life. I was born in Trinidad and moved back about five years ago. Blacqbook emerged in Trinidad, which is where the Sun (my ruler) is in control. Thanks to all the visitors and to those who left comments. Please enjoy past posts in the interim. Time does fly.

River talk

There is a whole lot of talking going on down by the river, yet the silence remains.

For you 2

I really do talk to them - and they listen. I don't try to control them, we have an understanding.

One dance

scream, cry
cry
scream
babies, babies
can't try to scream
crying is easy
screaming babies
many are screaming
cause crying comes
too easy
to babies
to all the big babies
try screaming
come crying
leave screaming
born screaming
some are dying
more crying
leading to
jazz
dancing

Mimilesmile

This subject was found close to the river in a wooded area. Then the race was on to get home and have the immortalizing process begin. Sound good - actually many days passed by before this shot took place, which makes sense given the subject's (when there is something inside the shell moving it) perceived slow nature.

Ivanova
I want to wed
a little blonde racewalker
a tight little package
must gain
must win
miles of determination
snug little shorts for your daily tasks
up the aisle, to the ceremony
down the aisle
out the doors
onto the track
your hair
suits
your stride

Some believe

There is absolutely no reason to believe that this photo was designed with the fetishist in mind.

The world around me...

...consists mostly of water. Yet there are so many people out there, afraid to get wet.

I see no color

There is no blue sky today. It's raining and gray. With the rain, comes the promise of great colors that it brings.

Beauty

if you must know
your beauty
often brings me to tears
in the daylight when the sun shines
bright, at night when I see forever
life calls while drifting by
the still moments
captured and glowing
brand new in my eyes
true and forever
renewed with the breeze
by everywhere seeds
in from the ocean
a simple notion of
waking to discover
the passion
for your beauty

Chief

If somehow this photo was a movie, it wouldn't be named "Chief." It's title would be "The head leaf, its mate and others on a very sunny and somewhat breezy day, not far from civilization." Just a thought. How on earth can you name a photo that? I kept the word "spider" out of the title (even though I'm sure there are one or two lurking about on these leaves) because I know how scary they are to some people.
