Chief

If somehow this photo was a movie, it wouldn't be named "Chief." It's title would be "The head leaf, its mate and others on a very sunny and somewhat breezy day, not far from civilization." Just a thought. How on earth can you name a photo that? I kept the word "spider" out of the title (even though I'm sure there are one or two lurking about on these leaves) because I know how scary they are to some people.

Lucky7

This spider is lucky to still have seven of eight digits remaining. I am lucky that I have this photo (taken February 16, 2005) - I found this spider due to the fact that nature called while I was on my way out of the forest, while taking care of business, I noticed movement amongst the leaves on the ground that wasn't caused by my stream. I stirred up things for this creature as it was probably trying to sleep. Anyway, I was able to get a few shots afterward and was on my way. To drag the story on further - leading up to this event, I went back and forth (in my head) whether I could make it home or which section of bushes was the perfect spot for me to find relief. I eventually for no reason darted off into the bushes at a certain point even though I was almost certain that I could make it home. This was the first and only time (so far) that I have come across this type of spider. Two days ago I was back in the same forest and I'm now paying the price with a healthy amount of insect bites. I did get some good photos out of the venture though. In my opinion there is really no such thing as luck - good or bad, only taking advantage of presented opportunities while allowing oneself to be led.

Trip to Paris

I have never been to Paris before. I am not in Paris now,
nor am I planning a trip to Paris. Someday, hopefully.

Your latest disguise

It's beautiful to see through your eyes
I see the evolution of your latest disguise
I see you in Paris
I see you in Venice, in Rome
In the Caribbean
you call there your home
I see you dressed up
I see you with nothing on
you're floating on water so blue
I see you as all things, but true

Left out

Ever wonder or worry about why you're not part of the crowd? Well if you do, maybe as part of the master plan, you are one of the few chosen to be a leader. In life, (as of now) there are many followers but few leaders. Leaders see the path and can create change. Sometimes that "left out" feeling means that we are called on to show the way and possibly help right the direction of our planet. Having a conscience also goes a long way. Regarding the photo - my guess is that the buds will follow the flower that now seems alone.
